THE CLAN MALAYSIA AND U MOBILE PUT A SPIN ON TRADITIONAL HARI RAYA MUSIC WITH RAPPER AMAN RA

With the biggest Malaysian holiday around the corner, brands are jumping onto the Hari Raya bandwagon with loads of funny, sad, over-the-top videos. This year, U Mobile wanted to do something rather different – by introducing a non-conventional Hari Raya song, with the inimitable Aman RA, Malaysia’s hottest name in the underground hip hop scene.
U Mobile’s Raya Bestsama campaign kicked off with a music video-styled film that is aired on its YouTube and Facebook platforms. This music video revolves around a good old boy-meets-girl storyline.
U Mobile’s creative partner for the Prepaid segment, The Clan, stumbled upon the insight that Raya isn’t only just a time to celebrate with friends and families, it’s also a time for singles to potentially meet their other halves. And who better to bring along as a wingman than Aman Ra.
The video went live on social media platforms on 5th June 2018 to celebrate the coming Hari Raya holidays and also promote U Mobile’s Hero+Hero Sale, allowing users to sign up for a 2nd plan at 50% off. Along with this music video, U Mobile has engaged The Clan to launch U Mobile’s promotional festive packages, aptly called “Raya Bestsama”, a play on the word “Bersama” which means “together” – but even better, hence “Bestsama”.
